Dr. Kinney is a third-generation ear, nose and throat physician, following in the footsteps of both his father and grandfather. He completed his medical school training at Case Western Reserve Universityin Cleveland, OH and graduated in 1997 from The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Department of Otolaryngology and Communicative Disorders residency training program.
Dr. Kinney moved to the central Missouri area in the summer of 1997 as an Assistant Professor in the Otolaryngology Head Neck Surgery Division at the University of Missouri. He continues to maintain a clinical appointment in the department.
While working as a full time physician, Dr. Kinney earned his Master's Degree in Health Administration from the University of Missouri. Dr. Kinney and Dr. Scheidt moved into private practice in Columbia in June 2008.
Dr. Kinney has interests in ear disease, including pediatric and adult ear infections, cochlear implant surgery, dizziness, and lateral skull base surgery. He also has interests in sinus/allergy disease, head and neck cancer and general ear, nose, and throat problems. Dr. Kinney is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology in Pediatric and Adult Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery.
